SHARP OSA™ TECHNOLOGY WINS 2008 BERTL'S BEST DEVELOPMENT PLATFORM AWARD!
DCA is an Authorized Integrator of SHARP's OSA™ Technology, which means that we can integrate Sharp's OSA-enabled MFPs to seemlessly interface with your desktop applications.
Sharp OSA brings the power of open systems architecture to the consumer by opening the door to a broad array of value-added functionality in your Multi-Function Printers (MFPs). It is designed to let network applications control the MFP through bi-directional communication. This allows users to interact with business applications directly from the front panel of the MFP.

Just to wet your appetite, here are a few
examples of how companies are employing OSA TODAY:
Quickbooks integration for keeping track of receipts, invoices, etc. related to QB entries.
Complete back-end integration
See invoice and other
QB entries right from the MFP and link scanned images on the fly
"My Folder" Connector enables your SHARP MFP to become a more convenient way to scan hardcopy documents, browse network shares, and save to shared folders – all from the MFP control panel.
Key Features:
Browse all network shares from the MFP control panel
Access your own mapped drives
Create new folders at the MFP
Enter custom filenames and document properties
Access your own mapped drives
"Email" Connector sends hardcopy documents as secure e-mail messages. The Connector seamlessly integrates with Microsoft Exchange, providing you with access to all the features normally associated with Microsoft Outlook. You can now access personal and global address lists and enter all e-mail fields (CC, Bcc, Subject, and message) right from the MFP’s control panel. You will also get a copy of the message in your “Sent Items” folder for confirmation or auditing purposes.
Key Features:
Access to the global address list
Access to authenticated user’s personal address list
E-mail “From” is the authenticated user
Additional e-mail fields: Cc, Bcc, subject, and message
All scan to e-mail messages are copied to the user’s “Sent Items” folder
Besides at least a hundred more already developed OSA connectors available today, DCA may be able to custom build a connector to integrate with your desktop application. Please contact us to inquire about OSA Integration.
